Location CHELSEA + travel: Oct start ££££ (driver essential)

Chelsea SW3: We are seeking a top calibre, highly proficient and experienced Private Nanny for SW10-based clients, for the care of their three active children; 8 years, 4 years & 2.5 years old. Our clients will consider both Live-in OR Daily candidates - but please kindly note that regardless, the working hours are 06:45 - 19:00, with travel involved during the school holidays (Covid-19 restrictions permitting).

This is a 5-day Monday to Friday role with at least a 2-hour break each day whilst the children are at school and nursery. Our clients also require at least 2 evenings of babysitting per week, with the option of more evenings at additional pay. For Live-In candidates, a separate apartment will be provided (just a short walk away from the family’s home), as well as some private accommodation within the family’s residence when babysitting or when providing proxy cover. For Daily, our clients are preferring applicants who live relatively nearby.

This is a very busy private household, and requires a candidate who is extremely tidy and well-organised and who has an excellent track record – including longevity in previous roles (2.5+ years in appointments) and experience of working with three children in at least one previous position.

Our client's criteria for their nanny are:

• Experienced with all ages (8, 4, 2.5 years old) and be able to interact with all the children equally.

• Excellent spoken English with English MT.

• Happy with mixed shared-care and sole-charge: including confident proxy cover (able to travel alone with the children/look after them when parents are away).

• Flexible and able to handle ever-changing plans with a positive attitude.

• Excellent organisational skills - we are looking for a nanny who can anticipate every need and be a step ahead, organise the children's rooms, schedules, wardrobes, appointments, play dates, birthday parties etc etc., as well as pack for the children before trips.

• Strong communication skills, able to keep parents informed and work well in a team with other household staff.

• Plan and prepare healthy cooked meals for the children, as well as suitable snacks/packed lunches as required.

• Able to take charge of lockdown homeschooling in the event of future school closures, liaising with schools/nursery as needed.

• Read with the children and help instil a passion for reading, be a stimulating person for them to spend time with (strong academic background preferred).

• Take initiative and plan fun and educational outings for the children when appropriate (the parents also enjoy doing this).

• A "get up and go" personality and lots of energy - this is an active, outdoorsy family with lively children who thrive on fresh air and outdoor activity.

• Be a positive role model and guide, working with parents to enforce good manners and behaviour as well as helping the children to play together and form relationships with peers.

• Able to step back and let the children play independently.

• Excellent checkable references from parents of previous charges.

• Clean driving licence, confident London driver.

• Above all, very professional and discreet, with previous experience working within a private household.

As mentioned, our clients can accommodate both Live-in or Daily candidates able to work these specific working hours (06:45 - 19:00, Monday to Friday) and assist with occasional travel, when required. This role is to start ASAP, and a generous remuneration package is available for a top candidate meeting all the above criteria. Please do call us on 020 7610 9218 or if new to us, please send CV + refs to us at info@nanniesofstjames.com
