Flexible summer start in CONNECTICUT, USA for a **Norland-trained Nanny**  2 children, 6.5 & 4.5 years with N-B due autumn

We are seeking a young, fun *Norland-trained Nanny* for clients in Connecticut USA.  Please kindly note that due to strict USA visa laws the nanny needs to be under 25 to apply for the J1 visa (this then means she will able to stay the full two years).  A confident driver is also required.

This will be a really fun opportunity for a Norland trained nanny who wants to see a bit of the world and get some overseas experience.  Our clients currently have 2 children; G6.5 & B4.5 years with a new baby due in the autumn (Sept/Oct).

The nanny will be solely focused on the children, performing child-related duties. The children are close siblings, interacting well together, are good mates and like to do things together. They have a good social network and a variety of clubs & activities, their school/nursery is approx. 10 min drive.

The new baby is due in the autumn and at the moment there are no plans to hire a Maternity Nurse, but if Nanny would prefer to have support then they will hire a MN for 3 months. And then once baby is 3 months the nanny will have charge of all 3 children (with support from mum and the HK).

Our clients can offer a flexible summer start so the new nanny could start anytime from June - September (though for obvious reasons it would be more beneficial if the nanny has started well before the new baby arrives, so she can settle in and also for the children).

The nanny will have private accommodation on a separate floor to the parents.  The family are based in a truly delightful location (New Canaan, Connecticut) which is close proximity to NYC and with good train links further afield - so the best of both worlds! The accessibility of NYC is easy with the benefits of being in beautiful city green belt with great shops, restaurants and activities.  The locale is very friendly, sporty and athletic.

Our clients are professionals, though mum works part time. Dad can work very long hours and frequently travels domestically and overseas, so the nanny will provide good support to mum. It will be a shared care role, splitting the load with mum.

A driver is essential for the role and for the nanny's personal enjoyment (car provided).  Some domestic travel (eg: family in Colorado, skiing in winter + beach in summer).
