Description

PRIMROSE HILL NW3: Top, formally trained, Weekend, Daily Nanny (B6 & G3 years + new-born baby due) - June start with excellent remuneration

Our returning, very formal NSJ clients are seeking a well-qualified, formally-trained, Daily, Weekend Nanny to care for a B6 & G3 years and new-born baby. The family are based in Primrose Hill and all activities are within easy walking distance.

The normal working hours will be Saturday & Sunday, 8am - 6pm, with occasional cover of the ‘weekday’ nanny’s annual leave and majority of the bank holidays. The hours are likely to increase upon the birth of the third child, with role likely to become three days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from this point onwards.

This role will primarily be London based, but as of early 2023, the family will be spending time in their newly renovated, country home in Buckinghamshire at weekends. The working hours will be the same in both locations, and separate staff accommodation will be provided when in the countryside.

At the weekends, both parents will want to spend time with their children, with these days more shared care.

This role is best-suited to a professionally, formally trained candidate able to confidently care for all three charges, with excellent previous experience across all age-groups (e.g. babies to school age). The nanny should have a strong focus on all three children’s wellbeing, social and intellectual development – with their duties including, but no limited to:

= feeding, promoting independence.

= bathing, teeth brushing, dressing, helping to get ready for school.

= taking to activities and creating stimulating activities at home.

= making sure that toys/books/clothes/uniforms/shoes are in order and tidy.

= organising playdates and assisting with any social weekend events (eg. birthday parties).

= occasional babysitting/annual leave cover.

The family are extremely well-educated intellectuals and their son in particular, is showing early signs of gifted & talented, so they do require a candidate who is sharp, cultivated, highbrow & learned to keep in engaged. They are also looking for the nanny to be energetic, caring, organised and responsible, with previous experience of looking after children of a similar ages – including young babies/early years. This is a busy household, so the right candidate will be hands-on, reliable and capable of working both independently and as a part of the team. They are keen to find someone who values this job and in return always respect and value their nanny.

The ‘weekend’ nanny will be work in-conjunction with the family’s ‘Daily’ week-day nanny. The household also employ a full-time housekeeper (who covers washing up and ironing clothes, changing beds for kids), a part-time cook (who batch cooks for kids) and personal assistant who has chief of staff responsibilities. The Mother is going to be a primary carer for the newborn for the first 4-6months, so for the first year the role will mainly be for the family’s older two children – but the nanny should be willing/able to step-in and support the family with their youngest in time/as and when needed.

Please note: the Father is very allergic to cats, so we cannot entertain a candidate who will be coming from a household with cats.

Our clients will remunerate the right applicant *extremely* competitively. Interviewing now - please call the agency for more details on 0207 610 9218 or send CV + refs to us at info@nanniesofstjames.com
