SLOANE SQUARE SW1: Native English MT, s/charge, Daily Nanny (B5 & B3 years)

Our long-standing returning clients, are seeking a new Daily Nanny for their 2 boys, 5 & 3 years. This role is to replace the family's much-loved nanny of 3 years who is moving on to pastures new. Our clients are both busy, working professionals and therefore seeking a competent sole-charge, Daily Nanny with minimum of 5 years/+ private household experience. A candidate with fluent or native English is hugely important, as well as local area knowledge, excellent longevity in prior roles and a great track record. Our clients are also prioritising candidates who are degree-educated or with formal, professional industry training (eg: Norland) OR, if not formally trained, has demonstrated interest in education and deep knowledge of developmental stages and key milestones in prior roles.

The working hours will be approximately 50-55 hours per week – with the family’s preferred schedule being 07.30- 18.30, Monday to Friday.

The boys are currently 5 & 3 years-old, with the eldest in Reception class and the youngest at nursery 5 mornings a week. Both boys are happy, healthy and in great routines courtesy of their outgoing nanny. They are both super-outdoorsy and love visiting local parks, being on their bikes, playing football and racquet sports and are endlessly curious about the world around them. So, their new nanny needs to energetic, active and very outdoorsy to be able to maintain and support the boy’s hobbies and interests. With their eldest now at school, our clients are prioritising an educationally focused applicant able to confidently support schoolwork.

Our client’s long-standing, current NSJ Nanny has been a huge success and highly recommends the family, with everyone involved keen to ensure a thorough handover period for their next nanny to continue the established social connections that have been built up for the boys. She has been very proactive and created a strong social network, which has been hugely beneficial to both children. This role is also best suited to a nanny who is proactive and interested in the developmental side of childcare, able to confidently plan age related activities and continue to enhance and develop the boy’s learning. It is therefore important that the nanny has had experience of working with both older toddlers/preschool and school-age groups.

A calm, considered, organised, and professional yet fun and engaged personality with a mature outlook would work well for this role. Additionally, a confident London driver is also required. This is a pet-free household with full standard nursery duties required, yet the family do have additional housekeeping support in place.

Our clients will also favour a candidate who would be willing to support with some professional travel over the course of the year (approx. up to 4 weeks).

Interviews are now taking place for an ASAP December start. The family are situated SW1, near to some leafy green spaces/parks and with excellent local amenities close by, as well as easy walking distance from both Sloane Square underground and Victoria tube station.
