Full-Time Vacancies

We are looking for a permanent, Live-in Nanny for our Scandinavian clients who are based in Luxembourg from the beginning of July 2019.
Our clients are both professionals working in finance.

Our clients would love to have a nanny that is a sporty person that has the energy to look after two small girls. The position is live in and Nanny will have her own room on the ground floor with en-suite bathroom and direct access to the garden from their room. The family will purchase a car that will be 100% for the nanny. She will also be able to use the car during her free time. The nanny should have a clean drivers licence and feel confident to drive in Europe. Family have a vacation house in Ibiza that they travel to frequently and the nanny should join them and be able to drive there as well. They would love a nanny with a positive attitude and a passion for children. They have a fitness room, swimming pool and sauna in the house that the nanny can also use. There are good gyms with classes nearby to the house if the nanny would prefer to go there during the daytime whilst children are at nursery. They are also happy to arrange for the nanny to attend language courses in Luxembourg, e.g. French or German.  Also if a nanny wishes to study in the daytime, they would be super happy with that.

Older girl was born in January 2017 and new baby sister was born in January 2019. Older girl is in a nursery from 8 am until 5 pm every weekday. The baby will start the same nursery in the fall 2019 when our client goes back to work. The main language in the nursery is English. The clients are Scandinavian so  speak Swedish and Norwegian with the children at home, but sometimes English as well.  

The typical work week for the nanny would be 6 days per week. During the weekdays nanny would be required for maximum one hour in the morning to get the girls ready for nursery. In the afternoon Nanny needs to pick up from nursery at 5 pm, prepare dinner for the girls, play, give them a  bath and put to bed. Our clients will help out when they come home from work and are usually there for the bedtime routine as they love to spend time with the children.  The older girl  goes to ballet one day per week and therefore needs to be picked up from nursery at 2.30 pm and be accompanied to the ballet. Currently the class is on Fridays at 3 pm. If the girls are unwell and need to stay home from nursery nanny would also need to cover the full day with the children. 

During the weekends nanny will work a full day. Clients are going to put older child in to a horse riding class on Saturdays. Other activity for the weekends include swimming, going to the park, visiting museums, zoos, etc. The total working hours per week are approximately 40-50 h per week.

There is a housekeeper every week, but the nanny should ensure that they clear up any mess with their toys or food each day. One day off per week.

As the nanny will be based and employed in Luxembourg, our clients have to follow the Luxembourg labour laws. The nanny should therefore be entitled to 25 days of paid vacation per year. She can spread these over the year as she wish, but it is mandatory to have one vacation per year that is at least 2 consecutive weeks in order to get a good rest which still leaves three weeks of vacation left.

The main place to work will be Luxembourg, but clients would require the nanny to join them on travels sometime as well.  As above, they have a second home in Ibiza and would like the nanny to travel with them there.  They try and go as frequently as possible. On the odd occasion the nanny will have full proxy of the girls alone at home when both parents are traveling. These working days are obviously longer and clients will compensate with days in lieu.
