Location ISLINGTON N7: Sept start ££££
Description

ISLINGTON N7, from September: Sole charge, Daily Nanny, three girls, 5 & 3 years and 2 months.

Our returning, professional clients, with 3 daughters, are looking for a dynamic, sociable, very confident sole charge, Daily, Nanny with superb experience and a high level of commitment. Our clients are both hands on parents but both have very demanding jobs, and so need lots of energy and excellent organisation and communication skills in their new nanny.  A candidate who has experience across the board with small babies and school age and who is educationally-focused and able to entertain and organise good daily structure for the girls is essential.

Our clients have 3 daughters: 5 & 3 years (at school and nursery) and baby, currently 2 months and the family is looking for an energetic, kind, sociable and highly organised full-time, Daily Nanny from early September 2021.

The start date is 6th September 2021, although a little earlier may be possible. The right candidate will be professional and committed to a long-term role. OUr clients both work full-time in highly pressured careers with occasionally unpredictable hours, and need a highly self-motivated and experienced nanny, who takes considerable pride in her work, is a natural communicator, and who has the flexibility to help with bedtime/babysit about 2 times during the week, sometimes at fairly short notice. The basic working hours are 07.30 - 19.00 Monday to Friday.

From September 2021, their eldest daughter will continue at school in Camden in Year 1, the middle daughter will start in nursery (probably 3 full days and 2 half days a week to begin with). This will be her first experience of a school/nursery setting and the new nanny will need to be ready to help her with this transition.

Below is some useful information from the family and specific notes/requirements, the new nanny will be responsible for:

** Breakfast and getting the girls ready to go to school (parents usually do drop off).

** From Oct/Nov, sole charge of the baby (who will then be 5/6 months) when Mum goes back to work, taking her to baby classes and on playdates, walks and ensuring she gets lots of fresh air & playtime.

** Organising and taking care of the girls’ clothes, toys, art supplies etc.

** Ensuring the girls have healthy meals and introducing the baby to solid foods.

** School pick up, classes after school including swimming, play dates and park dates etc. The girls go to classes at Third Space (Islington).

** Home-work, especially encouraging the girls with their reading, visiting the library etc. This is extremely important to the family.

** Bathtime and handover for storytime & bedtime with parents.

In September 2021, the new nanny will share care of the baby with mum (as she gently transitions back to work), getting to know the girls’ routines and the household, and having plenty of time to focus on and have fun with the older girls after school.

= The family have a cleaner/housekeeper who comes 3 days a week and has been with the family for several years. The new nanny will work with her effectively to keep the girls’ clothes and toys, bedroom and playroom in good order.

= The girls have a strong and sociable neighbourhood routine and love to be out and about. They enjoy going to the zoo, swimming, being outdoors, cycling & scooting. They also love to be at home, for more relaxed and imaginative play, and love reading, baking and quiet time, including in the garden.

= The new nanny will hopefully fit well into their family and routine, whilst of course bringing your own particular skills, personality and warmth. It is critical that you have the right energy and enthusiasm for the role and for the care of three children, and is able to provide support and show confidence in this position, especially when your arrival will overlap with Mum's return to work.

= Up-to-date DBS check and recent references required.

= The family are hoping that their new nanny will have a period of at least a week in September to handover with the present nanny.

= The family do not have a weekend nanny, and very occasionally need some additional work at the weekend but this is unusual (and paid overtime). Occasionally the nanny may be required to accompany them to the Cotswolds, and if the nanny would like to travel with them for family holidays, this would be highly desirable.

Our clients live in Barnsbury, a 10-minute walk to Highbury Fields, close to Upper Street and parks/garden squares. Candidates who are able to walk/cycle to work are favoured, but for reference the location is roughly midway between Caledonian Road and Highbury & Islington stations.

Excellent salary available for a great nanny.  Interviews are now taking place with our clients, so do call us for a chat on 0207 610 9218 or if new to us, please send CV + refs to us at info@nanniesofstjames.com
