Our clients are seeking a Rota Nanny for care of their two daughters, 11 &12 years old. This is a rota nanny position working 7 days on (24 hrs per day) and 7 days off.

The parents enjoy spending as much time with their girls as possible and require rota cover primarily for flexibility, so working hours are generally less than the traditional definition of 24/7. Having said that, the family’s schedule is subject to constant change so flexibility is key.

During term-time, Monday to Friday the family are in London and most weekends they enjoy being in their country home. The family also travel to the US and Europe.

Driver essential and a car will be provided for nursery duties. In all the family homes (when working), the Nanny stays in private bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The family also employs two lovely full-time housekeepers who have also been with them for many years and who work on a rota basis to take care of all meal preparation, laundry and cleaning. As a result, there will always be a housekeeper available to assist the nanny and there is a strong and fun team spirit at home.

The girls are extremely affectionate, energetic, curious and thoughtful young people. Both girls have a full schedule of after school extracurricular activities including music, dance and drama. In their free time, the girls also enjoy swimming, chess, baking, craft, games, reading, and thinking outside the box. Horse riding is a large part of the girls' lives at their country home. They love their ponies, being at the stables and taking part in various competitions. The girls have developed very close bonds with their current nannies and treat them in many ways as big sisters/older best friends. Finally, both girls are highly imaginative both in their playing and in their approach to life so a nanny that can foster and develop their creativity is a bonus.

The parents will give the nanny the freedom to determine how best to spend their time with the children, whether that be visiting the theatre, concocting recipes or deciphering the lyrics to a favourite song. The key is to ensure that the nanny builds a strong and loving relationship with the girls who are very much at a pre-teen stage in their development.

The nanny also takes a lot of admin responsibility for managing and organising the nuts and bolts of the girls' life eg. uniforms, playdates, supplies, music lessons, dentist appointments, clothes etc. The family have extremely high standards in terms of work-ethic and attention to detail so someone who enjoys organisation and planning will get a lot out of the job.

The ideal candidate should be able to assist the girls with basic homework prep, such as reading, but more importantly foster in the girls a curiosity for learning in whatever form that might arise.

The family are informal and easy going; their priority is a warm home where the children are happy and feel loved and listened to.

The parents are looking for a loving, long-term Nanny to join their family: an honest, hard-working, detail oriented, energetic, team player who is a good communicator will be a good fit for the family.

The family have a dog so an animal lover would be wonderful.  Excellent salary package available
