Postion BERMUDA: Live-in, "Wing-Woman" to support busy family with 2 girls (11 & 8 years)
Location BERMUDA + worldwide travel: Feb start (UK passport & confident driver essential)
Description

Early 2022 in BERMUDA + travel: Live-in for 2 girls, 11 & 8 years

Returning, busy clients who run several companies worldwide from Bermuda, are seeking a new PA/"Wing-Woman" to take over from their current NSJ nanny who is leaving after 4 years in February.  The new candidate must hold a UK passport and be a confident driver.

This role has lots of moving parts and now the girls are older (11 & 7 years) the new candidate will do PA/House Management/Diary duties to support the family along with some Nanny duties. The candidate will be part of their family and to be the mother's Wing Woman! This position is to start from early 2022 and will be a live-in position.

There will be travel with the family so a UK passport is required and driving is a key part of the role (school runs etc), so the nanny must be a confident driver.

Our clients are looking for a responsible, caring and proactive person to provide top quality support for the family and their 2 girls (11 & 8 years) whom both attend full time school. Nanny will be expected to promote learning and education for the girls, prepare healthy meals, do their laundry and keep the children's areas clean and tidy.

Due their professionals, the parents sometimes away at the same time, so the candidate might have sole, proxy responsibility for the girls. The girls are very independent but do need someone who relates well to them, is proactive and organised and who enjoys a diverse range of duties.

Essential qualities: UK passport & driving license; can cook; can swim; can ski; have up to date First Aid & DBS.

Role: Averaging 40 hours a week Monday- Friday, though flexible according to itinerary of family.  Sole care of children when parents travel (up to a 4/5 days at a time)  - preparing healthy meals/snacks for the children  - grocery shopping and planning meals  - some school drop off/pick up and after school activities  - evening babysitting (usually 2/3 times a week including weekends) - admin duties (eg: booking flights).  The family has two dogs (labrador & spaniel), so candidate must like dogs and be happy to walk them.

Accommodation: Candidate will have her own bedroom, bathroom and dressing room on lower level of house with private entrance so in her free time she can come and go without disturbing anyone. Use of the private beach near the house.

Remuneration: tax free salary, plus health care, phone, scooter, use of car, membership of two beach clubs and the golf clubs, accommodation & all food.

Extensive travel: to the UK (family farm in Suffolk);  South Africa (the family's game reserve); and summer holiday somewhere nice (often diving in the Maldives!). Do note the family travel often with the dogs.

The outgoing Nanny has been with the family for 4 years and joined the family from a nursery, and based on their current set-up, this role would probably be best suited to a younger candidate in her 20’s with previous Nanny/PA experience, and if they have worked overseas before this would be a bonus!  But the most important quality is having an exceptional ‘can do’ mentality and be someone who appreciates and understands "island life"!    The current nanny would be very willing to talk to the incoming nanny. And there will be network of nannies for companionship (many of whom are working for NSJ clients.

Interviews taking place, so please do call the agency for more details: 0207 610 9218 or email us at info@nanniesofstjames.com
