London’s Best Baby and Toddler Clubs

London’s Best Baby and Toddler Clubs Choosing baby classes and toddler groups can feel overwhelming, especially in London where there is simply so much choice. You’ll no doubt rely on personal recommendations and be guided by what sort of activities your clients want their children to get involved in, but here are some top tips on the best baby and toddler groups, clubs and classes to be found in West and South West London.

Maggie & Rose

London’s first ever ‘family members’ club’ allows everyone from nannies to grannies entry on a family card. With sites in Kensington, Chiswick and Hong Kong, the clubs offer daily classes and ‘camps’ (from street dance to Easter egg painting, Harry Potter spell making to bunny-bop dancing) that last from a couple of hours to all day long. Food and snacks are provided for all classes, and naturally they’re delicious and home made. Both sites have cafes and juice bars with locally-sourced food on the menu, with no added salt or refined sugar. Our nannies highly rate the soft play here. http://maggieandrose.com/

The Corner House, W6

Highly recommended by our nannies, this is a delightful ‘neighbourhood hub’ with a shop, café and brilliant play area for tinies. The Corner House also runs classes for children -from ballet to yoga to robotics and coding – and some great evening classes for adults too. https://www.thecornerhousebrookgreen.com/

The Ark Playgroup at St Michael’s Church, Belgravia

One of our nannies told us about this lovely playgroup in Chester Square which meets Mondays ad Wednesdays in term time, from 10-11.30am. This is a lively morning session for babies, toddlers, parents and carers. Children have lots of space to play with a superb range of toys, in a fun and happy atmosphere. Coffee and juice and a snack are provided. http://www.stmichaelschurch.org.uk/families/ark-playgroup/

Eddie Catz

Clean, fun and well-organised – this soft play franchise has sites in Putney, Wimbledon and Earlsfield and is the destination of choice for mothers and nannies in the know. The centres also host baby and toddler classes from ballet and music to languages and football. http://www.eddiecatz.com/

Purple Dragon

With sites in Notting Hill and Chelsea, this private members’ club boasts 60 classes a week for its little patrons, ranging from singing and musical jamming to golf, snorkelling, foreign languages, baking, sushi-making and disco-dancing. http://www.purpledragonplay.com/

Club Petit Pierrot

Lots of our clients are keen that their children learn or develop a second or third language before they begin school. For the little ones who want to learn French, Club Petit Pierrot holds classes in Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Fulham, Earlsfield, Hampstead, Notting Hill, Putney, St John’s Wood and Maida Vale. They come highly recommended. http://clubpetitpierrot.co.uk/
