Our internationally-based clients are seeking a highly experienced, professional Live-in Nanny to care for their bright and active 5-year-old son. The role is suited to a confident, calm, nurturing and educationally-minded nanny who thrives in multi-cultural environments, has previous experience working in fully staffed households with regular international travel. It is also essential for the nanny to be comfortable working in hot, humid climates - especially during monsoon seasons. The family values candidates who have demonstrated longevity within roles, open communication within a shared care setting and who have a team-oriented approach. The household is fully staffed, and the parents are very hands-on. There is also a toddler in the home, cared for by their own nannies. The family enjoy travel and the outdoors, with frequent trips that combine nature, sight-seeing and adventure. A background in education is particularly welcome, as their son is academically inclined and very curious. The family are also looking for a nanny who brings both structure and warmth to the role — someone able to gently guide and encourage their son’s development, whilst encouraging good manners/etiquette, self-confidence and independence with supervision. He is a bright, inquisitive and independent little boy who thrives with gentle and meaningful engagement. A emotionally attuned candidate able to support with calm, clear boundaries in a sensitive and observant approach is key. Their son is also very active and loves to learn, with this role best-suited to a candidate able to keep pace and who enjoys planning activities based around various interests. A background in education or early years teaching is highly desirable, as the nanny will be expected to support with homework and early learning across English, maths and science. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning stimulating and age-appropriate activities, managing the child’s daily routines and development, packing and organising for travel whilst maintaining child-related areas. While household cooking and laundry are not required, the nanny should be happy to help with occasional light preparation of snacks or meals for the child, particularly when travelling. During travel, the nanny will be on-call 24/7, though the family ensures rest periods are respected. Our clients are considering qualified candidates with at least 8 years of childcare experience and a proven track record of 3+ years in a long-term role. Previous experience in fully staffed, international households is highly important, as well as having a sporty/outdoorsy nature and able to speak English to a native-standard. Private accommodation is always provided, and a driver will be provided for daily pick-up and drop-off while in the home location.
