| Description | BARNES SW13: Trained, Daily Nanny - B6, G2.5 years + B22 months (with new baby due in the autumn) BARNES SW13: spring start (driver required) ££££ We have a lovely appointment for clients in Barnes, who are seeking a great, Daily OR Live-in Nanny who is loving and proactive with a warm and nurturing personality, to support them with their children; B6, G2.5 years + B22 months with new baby due in the autumn (early September). The family's outgoing nanny is leaving after 3 years and a trained Nanny is preferred and they have previously got on very well with the Norland ethos. ~ Hours will be 07.30/08.00 - 18.30 Monday to Friday, with two contractual, mid-week proxy stints per year. And if the nanny would like some extra babysitting this could be accommodated (and paid extra). Our clients are also considering a candidate who would like to live in during the week and vacate at weekends. Our professional clients are both in busy careers and work from home, but this is a sole charge role. Dad works full time and travels for work, Mum runs her own business and has semi-flexible hours and will of course be taking some maternity leave. Our clients are seeking a long-term nanny who has a good understanding of how to collaborate and communicate effectively in support of their children’s development and routine, a nanny who is calm, open, honest and empathetic would be the ideal fit for this position. The nanny should be experienced across the age groups: primary school, toddler and baby age groups and be very experienced with early years development. Someone who loves babies, has previous experience with this age group who can encourage development going forward. The eldest is at school and from September the elder two children will both be in fulltime school/nursery, and the toddler will start nursery (just doing mornings to begin with). It is vitally important the new nanny is outdoorsy, fit & active and happy to do sporting activities with him, especially swimming (he has been swimming since he was a tiny baby and loves to swim!) and our clients would like the nanny to go swimming with him. The family's parenting style is to get down to the children's level, speak to them in a kind and gentle manner with no raised voices, and explain things. Their desire is for the nanny to be super-proactive, and someone who is happy to be child-led and will involve their children in fun activities (eg: baking, arts & crafts), and also someone who is very active & outdoorsy. It is important that the nanny loves to cook and can be imaginative with food, batch cooking and encouraging new age-appropriate foods and dishes. Things that are important to the family:
The family home is only a short 15 minute walk from Barnes station and close to Barnes Common. Barnes – South Western Railway. Trains – London Waterloo, Wimbledon. Buses – towards Oxford Street, Richmond & Putney. A driver is required, though please note it is resident permit parking only, our clients can't provide a permit. The school is about a 5-minute-drive away (or 20 minute walk) and the nursery is less than 5-minutes-drive (or 12 minute walk). Interviews are now taking place for a mid-spring start and a good remuneration package is available.
