| Description | KENSINGTON + travel: TWO x trained/qualified, Rota Nannies (2 weeks on/off rota + one nanny must be Spanish or French MT) | drivers preferred | summer start
We are recruiting for TWO x experienced and professional Rota Nannies, for a busy, very sporty family based in Kensington W8. The position is a two weeks on/off rota, caring for the family's three youngest children: G1, G5 & B7 years. There are two older children (11 & 9 years) who are primarily cared for by their parents, Nanny-Governess & Housekeeper and so they do not fall within the scope of this role. The successful candidates will join a well-established household team, working collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the children's routines. There are always two members of staff supporting the children (the rota nanny plus either the nanny governess or the housekeeper) with the parents taking responsibility at weekends. The primary focus of the role is the family's one-year-old daughter. The nanny will take full responsibility for her daily routine between 7:30am and 7:30pm, providing attentive, nurturing care and ensuring she receives stimulating, age-appropriate activities. The nanny will confidently lead her weaning journey, preparing healthy, home-cooked meals and supporting her ongoing development in a warm and engaging environment. Whilst the parents usually take responsibility for the baby overnight, the nanny will occasionally be required to sleep in the baby's room, particularly whilst travelling. The successful candidate must also be confident taking sole charge of all three younger children overnight when both parents are away or out. The nanny will also provide support for the B7 & G5 years, helping them prepare for school each morning before spending quality time with them after school. Responsibilities include assisting with homework when required, supervising hygiene routines and mealtimes, and ensuring calm, consistent bedtime routines. The role includes extensive travel throughout Europe, including family ski holidays, so flexibility and a genuine enjoyment of travelling are essential. Comfortable accommodation is always provided, including a private bedroom and bathroom. There are no pets in the household and none of the children have allergies. The family is looking for someone who is warm, experienced and highly adaptable, with a calm, down-to-earth approach and a quiet confidence. They would suit a nanny who is patient, hands-on and happy to work in a fast-paced household. A team player who enjoys working within a fully staffed home will thrive in this environment. Candidates should have substantial, verifiable experience caring for babies and toddlers, including confidence with weaning and preparing nutritious meals for young children. The family leads a very active lifestyle centred around sport, including skiing, swimming, football and tennis, so a sporty, energetic and health-conscious nanny would be an excellent fit.
