Description

JERSEY: Live-in OR Daily Nanny | start date January 2027

  • Location: Jersey (initial interviews & trials in London)
  • Role: Formally trained Nanny (Live-in or Daily)
  • Children: 2 girls; 3 years & 18 months
  • Driver required
  • PT hours (see below)
  • Salary circa £40-45K pa (depending on the days/hours)

Clients who are soon to be relocating to Jersey are seeking a long-term nanny to join them in caring for their two young children and helping a busy family home run smoothly. The role is to start in January 2027 when the family will have moved, but initial interviews and trials will take place in London.

Our clients are looking for an experienced, caring and highly organised Nanny to support with their 2 girls; 3 years & 18 months. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys both nurturing young children and helping a family household feel calm and organised.

Below is an outline of what our clients are looking for, ideally a Daily Nanny (but we are taking applications from Live-in candidates too): 40 guaranteed hours per week, with 3 of those hours allocated to babysitting. The children would attend nursery Tuesday and Thursday, the nanny would be expected to be available to look after either child if unwell and this will be paid at an agreed rate:

  • Tuesday: 7:30–9:00am + 5:00–7:30pm (4 hrs) - there is flexibility for further hours
  • Wednesday: 7:30am–7:30pm (12 hrs)
  • Thursday: 7:30–9:00am + 5:00–7:30pm (4 hrs) - there is flexibility for further hours
  • Friday: 7:30am–7:30pm (12 hrs)
  • Saturday: 7:30am–12:30pm (5 hrs) - there is flexibility not to work the Saturday
  • Babysitting: 3 hrs per week

Duties:

  • Getting children up, dressed and ready.
  • Preparing children’s breakfast, lunch and snacks.
  • School/nursery drop-offs and collections.
  • Taking children to activities, playgroups, appointments etc.
  • Organising age-appropriate activities and outings.
  • Bathing and bedtime routines .
  • Children’s laundry and keeping their rooms/play areas tidy.
  • Packing school bags and preparing clothes for the next day.
  • Keeping on top of children’s belongings and supplies.
  • Food: Preparing healthy meals for the children, cooking family meals, clearing up after children’s meals, keeping the children’s kitchen/eating areas clear.

Ideally, you will be accredited with the JCCT (our clients can help with this if necessary) or have the relevant childcare qualification to become accredited. You should hold a current certificate in paediatric first aid and safeguarding training together with an enhanced DBS check. We are therefore looking for someone warm, kind and reliable who is seeking a long-term position and is experienced in working with young children, confident working independently and comfortable in preparing healthy, home-cooked meals. Flexibility is key and should one of the children be unwell and unable to go to nursery, the expectation would be that the nanny would care for them - childcare will always take priority over household duties.

  • The nanny’s accommodation is provided as part of the employment arrangement.
  • Salary circa: £40 - £45K pa is offered, depending on experience.
