| Description | A beautiful, separate cottage awaits the new Nanny/Housekeeper for this lovely professional family, based in the heart of the countryside in East Sussex. You will be continuing on from their current, outgoing Nanny/Housekeeper, who is leaving after 6.5 very happy years to start her own family. With both parents working in London during the week, the family are seeking housekeeping assistance, as well as childcare support for their two slightly older, more autonomous children: B11 years & G10 years. A great team player is essential, as is being a confident driver.
The family live on a large 200 acre estate with a variety of animals, including alpacas and several dogs (two lovely labradoodles and two smaller dogs) and therefore require a candidate happy around animals. To support these busy clients, the Nanny/Housekeeper will be running the house, including laundry, preparing a weekly schedule for both children, school runs, attending rugby matches and any school events etc on behalf of the parents. Experience of working in a household with school-aged children is essential, in-order to ensure that both children get stuck into their homework and are on-top of their school work. The family are also seeking a candidate who enjoys cooking, as the children have great appetites and love home cooked food. This role is also best-suited to someone who enjoys outdoor activities and able to swim, whilst happy to accompany the family with some travel to their summer and winter homes (in Europe). Although the family are seeking someone to assist with daily housekeeping, they do also have a long standing housekeeper who comes most weekend to deep clean, and assist with some laundry/ironing as a backup to the Nanny. The successful candidate will be provided with a separate two-bedroomed cottage on the estate and use of a car (automatic) and working hours will be Monday to Friday, 7.00am - 7.30pm.
