We have a super opportunity for a very qualified and skilled **Professional Household Chef**  to start as soon as possible with an excellent remuneration package (incl: accommodation).  

This busy high-profile family are looking for an experienced and confident Chef to work on a lovely private estate in Henley-on-Thames. The role can be live-in (separate two-bedroom cottage & bill allowance provided) or live -out provided you live close by. The role will be on a roster system & will involve weekend work & worldwide travel (Australia, St Moritz, Scotland etc.). TOP remuneration salary available.

The Chef will have responsibility for the planning, preparation, and cooking of all the family meals, ensuring different tastes and preferences are catered for (in all locations & sometimes alongside other Chefs).  The Chef will plan and deliver high quality food and cooking & the presentation of your food should be top class at all times. You will have a relaxed but professional approach with the Principals, their family and guests.

Meals will include; daily breakfast, lunch & dinner and formal hosting duties when the family host guests.  The family enjoy a collection of cuisines including: Mediterranean, Asian Fusion, Turkish Mezze style menu’s. You should be capable of producing healthy nutritious snacks for adults & healthy creative options for the family's 3 children (5, 3 & 2 years).

***Key responsibilities***:

•Advance menu planning.

•Sourcing ingredients on a daily basis.

•Wide-ranging skills from large entertaining, dinner parties to midweek meals.

•Introduce the family to new dishes but also deliver their favourite meals.

•Ensuring the highest levels of hygiene possible.

•Pantry and stock control.

•Appropriately packaging and labelling prepared meals that are to be consumed at a later date.

•Providing housekeepers with written or verbal instructions on how to heat meals.

•The family love to entertain and host so ability to confidently cater for up to 22 people at 5* standard.

•To be responsible and present for all large and small functions and to supervise and ensure correct presentation of all catering, hors d'oeuvre trays, drinks receptions.

***Client requirements/Chef's must have’s***: 

•Several years of Private household Chef experience/Private Yacht chef.

• Broad knowledge of global cuisine, for a healthy, hungry family.

• Good planning skills and experience; menus, provisioning and preparation.

• Discreet & highly skilled at dealing with people. 

• Chef & Hygiene, health & safety qualifications.

• Upbeat positive attitude, hugely personable & flexible .

• Communication & time management should be 1st class .

• Willing and able to adapt to constantly changing situations.

• Fluent in English Language.

• Have a valid passport (aiding easy international travel), excellent contactable references and possess (or be willing to get) an up to date DBS check.

The position will be mainly based at the family home near Henley, with occasional trips to their London residence (Notting Hill) and some gorgeous, international travel in school holidays (including Europe & Australia). All the family's households are fully staffed and substantial, previous experience working in formal households is also a requirement.  And it is really important that applicants for this role are keen on international travel. There are also 3 dogs in the household, a mixture of small & very large breeds, so the Chef must be OK with dogs.

An excellent remuneration package is available, depending on qualification, training, experience etc.  Accommodation supplied (separate cottage).
