JERSEY, CHANNEL ISLANDS: Warm, professional, **trained**, Live-in Nanny for 2 girls (2 years & 10 months)
We are delighted to present a long-term, stable position for a caring, proactive, and experienced, highly trained (Norland preferred) nanny to join a lovely family in a respected, lively & fun household on the West of the Island in Jersey. This role involves caring for two young children — a lively 2-year-old girl (Peanut Allergy) and her 10-month-old sister — in a warm and nurturing environment that values professionalism, discretion, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.
- Start date: ASAP or July (some flexibility)
- Location: Jersey (west of the island)
- Working Days: Monday to Thursday, *OR* Monday to Friday (open to discussion)
- Open to Live-in (apartment provided), *OR* Daily (for a candidate already on the island)
- Working Hours: 8am – 6pm (flexible upon discussion)
- Confident driver essential
- Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 gpa DoE
About the Family and Children:
The family are supportive, hands-on parents who value their nanny as a trusted part of their children’s growth and daily routine. They appreciate a calm, confident professional who can create a positive, stimulating environment. The household includes a large dog, which the nanny must be comfortable with, although no duties with the pet are required. A confident driver is essential (a car can be provided). The family is flexible on hours to accommodate occasional travel and special events.
Role Responsibilities: - • Managing daily routines, including developmental play, learning, and socialisation activities.
- • Supporting nursery drop-offs and pick-ups on designated days.
- • Organising play areas, rotating toys, and providing age-appropriate activities that foster curiosity and growth.
- • Preparing and serving nutritious, healthy meals and snacks, including batch cooking for the family when appropriate.
- • Planning engaging outings, attending classes, and encouraging socialisation with other children.
- • Providing regular updates with photos and sharing insights into the children’s progress.
- • Assisting parents by highlighting developmental milestones or concerns and supporting behaviour boundaries and routines.
- • Occasional evening babysitting: flexibility for overnight proxy or short weekends when required.
- • Creating a calm, structured, and stimulating environment that encourages independence, good manners, and emotional regulation.
Candidate Profile: - A confident driver is essential.
- Warm, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about working with young children.
- Calm, confident, proactive, and able to anticipate needs before being asked.
- Highly organised, reliable, and discreet.
- Experienced in early childhood development with a keen interest in fostering curiosity, creativity, and social skills.
- Excellent at setting gentle but consistent boundaries and modelling good manners.
- Able to work collaboratively with parents, respecting their routines and boundaries.
- Mature, discreet, and emotionally intelligent, with a professional attitude.
- Comfortable working with a family dog and respecting their home environment.
Additional Details: - Occasional travel may be required, potentially once a year for a week with the family.
