Job Overview: A fully staffed UHNW family based in Mayfair is seeking an experienced, polished and highly professional Rota Governess to support the education, development and wellbeing of their 11-year-old child. This is an exceptional opportunity for a career Governess with strong academic credentials, international travel experience and a genuine passion for mentoring and guiding older children. The successful candidate will combine educational expertise with warmth, discretion and emotional intelligence, ensuring the child remains engaged, motivated and supported both at home and whilst travelling extensively with the family. The family is seeking a candidate who can act as a positive role model, fostering independence, confidence, curiosity and excellent manners whilst maintaining a structured and enriching environment. The child is very active and sporty and loves, football, surfing and padel.
Responsibilities: - Provide educational support, mentoring and guidance tailored to the child's age and abilities.
- Assist with homework, project work, revision planning and study skills.
- Liaise with teachers, tutors and other educational professionals as required.
- Encourage intellectual curiosity through cultural, creative and educational experiences.
- Support the child's social, emotional and personal development.
- Organise age-appropriate activities, outings and enrichment opportunities.
- Coordinate the child's academic, extracurricular and travel schedules.
- Accompany the family on frequent international trips and holidays.
- Manage travel logistics relating to the child, including packing, itineraries and educational resources.
- Promote independence, responsibility and excellent social etiquette.
- Monitor academic progress and provide regular updates to parents.
- Maintain consistency in routines, expectations and behavioural standards.
- Act as a trusted mentor and positive role model.
The Ideal Candidate - Proven experience working as a Governess, Nanny with children of a similar age.
- Previous rota experience within a private household preferred.
- Experience travelling extensively with UHNW, VIP or international families.
- Excellent organisational, communication and diary-management skills.
- Discreet, professional and accustomed to working within formal households.
- Confident liaising with parents, tutors, schools and household staff.
- Driver preferred.
- First Aid certification.
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a fully staffed household environment.
- Flexible, adaptable and able to manage changing schedules and international travel demands.

Package: - Top salary £95,000 - £100,000 gpa
