NOTTING HILL: Experienced Rota Nanny (G8 & G6 years) 

1 week on/off Rota Nanny (change over on a Monday) | Girls 8 & 6 years | Driver essential | Good salary package | ASAP start

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, confident and highly organised, Rota Nanny to join a busy household in Notting Hill, caring for two, lovely, school-age girls, 8 & 6 years.

Both girls attend school locally and are bright, confident and energetic, with busy school, sporting and social lives. They are great fun and increasingly independent, but also have their individual sensitivities, so an emotionally intuitive nanny who can read children well would be an excellent fit. Their mother is a busy working parent and is looking for a second Rota Nanny to work opposite the existing nanny on a one week on/one week off schedule, with Monday changeovers.

This is very much a team position. The successful nanny should be warm and relaxed whilst also being super-organised, proactive and completely dependable, with excellent communication and the confidence to take full responsibility when required.

Key responsibilities will include:

• School runs and managing the girls' school and activity schedules
• Organising playdates, activities, appointments and social arrangements
• Managing the children's diary and communicating closely with the client and opposite rota nanny
• Ensuring uniforms, sports kit, school bags and everything required for the following day are organised
• Supporting homework and school requirements
• Preparing simple, healthy meals for the children when required
• Children's shopping and household orders
• Packing and preparation for holidays and travel
• Maintaining consistency and excellent communication across rota handovers
• Proxy parenting when required

The girls have regular weekend day time with their father, during which the nanny on duty will continue to accompany and support them as required.

There is a live-in housekeeper, so this is not a housekeeping position. However, the nanny should be a natural team player, happy to work collaboratively within the household and prepare straightforward meals for the children when needed.

There will be some international travel, predominantly during school holidays and the summer months, including Europe and potentially the USA, together with occasional ski trips.

We are looking for a polished, experienced and capable professional nanny who genuinely enjoys working with school-age children. Someone sporty, energetic, emotionally intelligent and exceptionally organised would fit particularly well.

• Previous experience in a busy private household would be advantageous, and the nanny must be confident working collaboratively with both the parent and opposite rota nanny.
• A confident London driver is essential.
